今年の推しペンギン：ケープペンギン

大阪吹田市にあるグラシエコンコルド店舗にて、【今年のペンギン】企画が、本年も12月に実施され、ペンギン基金も協力させていただきました。
自分の好きなペンギン種以外のことをもっと知ってもらいたい！　というコンセプトのもと、ペンギン全種の中から1種にスポットを当てるもので、本年はケープペンギン（アフリカペンギン）を選定しました。
ペンギン基金の寄付先でもある、SANCCOB（南アフリカ沿岸鳥類保護財団）より多数の写真やポスター、資料等をご提供いただき、来店されたお客様に、ケープペンギンの最新情報や現地で行われている保護活動の様子を紹介させていただきました。
多くの皆様からご寄付をお寄せいただき、ペンギン基金の年次寄付と合わせて950ドルをSANCCOB に送金することができました。

At Café Glacier Concorde, operated by Concorde Seika Co., Ltd. in Osaka, a project entitled “Penguin of the Year” was held again this December, and we were pleased to offer our support.
Under the concept of encouraging penguin-loving people to learn more about penguin species other than their own favourites, the initiative shines a spotlight each year on one species selected from among all species. This year, African Penguin was chosen.
We received numerous photographs, posters and other materials from SANCCOB, an international non-profit organisation committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of seabirds in Southern Africa. These enabled us to introduce visiting customers to the latest information about the African Penguin and to share insights into ongoing rescue activities.
Thanks to the generous donations received from many of you, we were able to remit the proceeds to SANCCOB, together with our annual donation.
